Relocating from New York to Orlando – what should I expect?
My company offered me a transfer to their Orlando office and I said yes before thinking through the logistics. Never hired long-distance movers before and I have no clue what's reasonable to pay or how far in advance to book. Anyone made a similar move and can share how it went?

I did almost the exact same thing two years ago, said yes to a job relocation from Atlanta to Orlando and then immediately panicked about the logistics. Never moved long-distance before and had zero idea where to start. Ended up booking through orlandoexpressmovers.com after reading reviews for a week straight. They handled the whole thing smoothly and the quote was transparent with no weird add-ons at the end. On timing and cost: book at least 6-8 weeks out for a long-distance move, especially if you're moving May through September when everything fills up fast. Pricing for an out-of-state move to Orlando typically runs anywhere from $2,700 upward depending on how much stuff you have. Get at least 3 quotes before committing to anyone.
